Journal Entry: Sun Feb 8, 2009, 1:44 PM
I haven't uploaded much lately and haven't been taking many photos. I'm a little fed up of creating mindless pretty work and want to do something a bit more meaningful. I can do cute macro shots well but I don't think they're my best work and it makes me sad when shots I put no thought into get lots of :+fav:s and featured in everyone's journal and those I put lots of work and soul into don't even get critiqued :(
I'm sure a lot of you feel this way about your work.

So here are some of my personal favourites - you may have commented on them already but if not, I'd love it if you took the time to let me know what you think:

And now... featuring more of my watchers :)

Everybody has a different view on what looks nice and what doesn't. It took me a long time to figure that out entirely.

Well I tell ya I'm terrible at giving critique I'm afraid... :(
But I understand what you mean and a lot of Deviants out there feel the same I have noticed...
Its hard to find a good critiquer!!! :XD:

But when you submit something I will do my best to give some sort of critique if I can

But don't hold you're breath... You're an awesome photographer and I can't really find anything to critique in you're photos!!! :giggle:

Oh very true. And some photographers are in it just to take pretty photos and there's nothing wrong with that. For a long time I've been happy with that too. It's hard to quantify how I feel but gah I just want more from myself.

Thank you Ash, I appreciate that - just looking to make my work a bit more challenging I guess!
